FELT ANIMAL HEADS

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 - Using a pencil and paper draw out the designs of the animal heads you wish to create. We chose a panda, sloth and koala. Once you have drawn the designs break them up into pattern pieces such as ears, eyes and nose and decide on the colours each piece needs to be.

Step 2 - Trace and cut out each piece from the coloured felt.

Step 3 - Begin by working on the front faces of each. Use the needle and thread to attach the features for each face and sew on any other features such as smiles.

Step 4 - Once the fronts of each face are complete you can sew the heads together. Lay the 2 head pieces together with the face facing outwards, if your design has ears sandwich them between the 2 head pieces in position. Using a simple running stitch sew around the outside of each head leaving a small gap for stuffing.

Step 5 - Use a small amount of hobby fill to stuff each head, sew shut when finished.

Step 6 - To finish use a hot glue gun to glue on the goggle eyes into position.
