TENSION

22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4mm needles.

BACK

Using 4mm needles and M, cast on 70 (74-78-86) sts.
1st row - K2, * P2, K2, rep from * to end.
2nd row - P2, * K2, P2, rep from * to end.
Rep 1st and 2nd rows 11 (13-14-14) times, dec (dec-incdec)
1 (0-1-1) sts evenly across last row ... 69 (74-79-85) sts. Work 20 (24-26-32) rows stocking st.
Using C2, work 46 (58-68-68) rows. Using C1 for rem, work 6 rows.

Shape Raglan Armholes -

Cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows ... 65 (70-75-81) sts.
Dec one st at each end of next row, then in every foll 4th row until 51 (56-59-63) sts rem, then in every foll alt row until 43 (46-49-51) sts rem. Work 1 row.

Shape Back Neck -

Next row - K2tog, K5, turn. Cont on these 6 sts for right side of back neck.
Next row - P2tog, P4.
Next row - K2tog, K1, K2tog ... 3 sts.
Next row - P2tog, P1 ... 2 sts.
Next row - K2tog. Fasten off. Slip next 29 (32-35-37) sts onto stitch-holder and leave for
neckband.
With RS facing, join C1 to rem 7 sts for left side of back neck, knit to last 2 sts then K2tog. Cont on these 6 sts for right side of back neck.
Next row - P4, P2tog.
Next row - K2tog, K1, K2tog ... 3 sts.
Next row - P1, P2tog ... 2 sts.
Next row - K2tog. Fasten off.

LEFT FRONT

Using 4mm needles and M, cast on 35 (39-39-43) sts.

1st row - K2, * P2, K2, rep from * to last st, K1.
2nd row - P3, * K2, P2, rep from * to end.
** Rep 1st and 2nd rows 11 (13-14-14) times, inc (dec-dec-dec) 1 (1-0-1) sts evenly across last row ... 36 (38-39-42) sts.
Work 20 (24-26-32) rows stocking st. Using C2, work 46 (58-68-68) rows.
Using C1 for rem, work 6 rows. **

Shape Raglan Armhole -

Next row - Cast off 2 sts, knit to end ... 34 (36-37-40) sts.
Work 1 row. Dec one st at beg of next row and then in every foll 4th row until 28 (30-30-32) sts rem. Work 2 rows.

Shape Neck -

1st row (WS) Cast off 5 (5-6-6) sts, purl to end ... 23 (25-24-26) sts.
2nd row - K2tog, knit to last 2 sts, K2tog.
3rd row - Cast off 4 sts, purl to end.
Rep last 2 rows once ... 11 (13-12-14) sts.
*** Dec one st at armhole edge in next row and every foll alt row 4 (5-5-6) times, AT SAME TIME dec at neck edge in next row and foll alt row 3 (4-3-4) times.
Next row - P2, turn. K2tog. Fasten off. ***

RIGHT FRONT

Using 4mm needles and M, cast on 35 (39-39-43) sts.

1st row - K3, * P2, K2, rep from * to end.
2nd row - P2, * K2, P2, rep from * to last st, P1.
Work as for Left Front from ** to **. Work 1 row.

Shape Raglan Armhole -

Next row (WS) - Cast off 2 sts, purl to end ... 34 (36-37-40) sts.
Dec one st at end of next row and then in every foll 4th row until 28 (30-30-32) sts rem. Work 1 row.

Shape Neck -

1st row - Cast off 5 (5-6-6) sts, knit to end ... 23 (25-24-26) sts.
2nd row - P2tog, purl to end.
3rd row - Cast off 4 sts, knit to last 2 sts, K2tog.
Work 1 row.
Work as for Left Front from *** to ***.

SLEEVES

Using 4mm needles and M, cast on 42 (42-46-46) sts.
Work 24 (28-30-30) rows rib as for Back, inc 1 (1-0-0) sts evenly across last row ... 43 (43-46-46) sts.
Work 4 (6-12-12) rows stocking st, AT SAME TIME inc one st at each end of 3rd row once, size 6 and 8 only - then in foll 8th row once ... 50 sts.
All Sizes ... 45 (45-50-50) sts.
Using C2, cont inc one st at each end of 3rd (3rd-7th-7th) row, then in every foll 4th (6th-8th-8th) row until there are 49 (49-56-54) sts, then in every foll 6th (8th-10th-10th) row until there are 53 (55-58-60) sts.
Work 23 (19-25-27) rows.
Using C1 for rem, work 6 rows.

Shape Raglan -

Cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows ... 49 (51-54-56) sts.
Dec one st at each end of next row, then in every foll 4th row until 43 (45-46-44) sts, then in every foll alt row until 15 (15-16-16) sts rem.
Work 1 row.
Leave rem 15 (15-16-16) sts on stitch-holder.

COLLAR

NOTE - We recommend using mattress stitch to sew up your Jacket.

Join raglan seams, noting that tops of sleeves form neckline. With right side facing, using 3.25mm needles and C1, knit up 28 (30-30-31) sts evenly along right front neck edge to front raglan seam, knit across 15 (15-16-16) sts from right sleeve stitch-holder, knit up 4 sts evenly along right side of back neck, knit across sts from back stitch-holder - inc 1 (2-1-1) sts evenly across, knit up 4 sts evenly along left side of back neck to back raglan seam, knit across 15 (15-16-16) sts from left sleeve stitch-holder, then knit up 28 (30-30-31) sts evenly along right front neck edge ... 124 (132-136-140) sts.

Using M for rem, purl 1 row.
Next row - P3, * K2, P2, rep from * to last st, P1.
Next row - K3, * P2, K2, rep from * to last st, K1.
Last 2 rows form rib.
Cont in rib until Collar measures 16 (17-18-18) cm from beg.
Cast off loosely in rib.

RIGHT FRONT BAND

Using 4mm needles and M, cast on 122 (142-158-166) sts.
1st row - K3, * P2, K2, rep from * to last 3 sts, P3.
Last row forms rib.
Work a further 3 rows rib.
5th row - Rib 4, rib 2tog, yrn (buttonhole), * rib 16 (20-18-20), rib 2tog, yrn, rep from * 5 (5-6-6) times, rib to end ... 7 (7-8-8) buttonholes.
Work 3 rows rib. Cast off loosely in rib.

LEFT FRONT BAND

Work as for Right Front Band, omitting buttonholes.

TO MAKE UP

DO NOT PRESS. Join side and sleeve seams. Sew on front bands, reversing seam on collar for fold back. Sew on buttons, placing top 2 on other side of front band so they are visible when collar is folded.
