- A pair of 5.00mm and a set of 5.00mm knitting needles or size needed for correct tension.
- 2 stitch holders, scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

Using 5.00mm needles, cast on 2 sts.
1st row - Knit.
2nd row - Inc in first st, inc in last st ... 4 sts.
3rd row - Knit.
4th row - Inc in first st, K2, inc in last st ... 6 sts. Knit 3 rows.
8th row - Inc in first st, K4, inc in last st ... 8 sts. Knit 3 rows.
12th row - Inc in first st, K6, inc in last st ... 10 sts. Knit 3 rows.
16th row - Inc in first st, K8, inc in last st ... 12 sts. Knit 3 rows.
20th row - Inc in first st, K10, inc in last st ... 14 sts.
Sizes 18 and 24 months Only -
Knit 3 rows.
24th row - Inc in first st, K12, inc in last st ... 16 sts.

Knit 1 row. Leave sts on a stitch holder. Using a set of 5.00mm needles, cast on 16 (18-20-22) sts, knit across 1st earflap, cast on 22 (24-24-26) sts, knit across 2nd earflap... 66 (70-76-80) sts.

2nd round - Knit.

TO MAKE UP
DO NOT PRESS. Sew in all ends. Make a pompom and fasten to the top of beanie. Make 2 lengths of twisted cord 10cm long and attach to end of each earflap.
