What you'll need:

  • 200g Abbey Road Glory Glory x 1 ball
  • 5mm knitting needles x 1 pair, or size required to give correct tension.
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Tape measure

Sizes: S (M-L)

To Fit Bust: 80/85 (90/95-100/105) cm

Length (approx): 42 (43-44) cm

INSTRUCTIONS

BACK

Using 5mm needles, cast on 81 (87-97) sts.

Beg Rib - 1st row (RS) - K2, P1, K1, rep from to last st, K1.

2nd row - K1, P1, K1, rep from to end.

Last 2 rows form rib.

Cont in rib until work measures 25cm from beg, ending with a 2nd row.

Tie a coloured thread at each end of last row to mark beg of armholes.

Shape Armholes - Next row (RS) - K2, P1, sl 1, K2tog, psso, rib to last 6 sts, K3tog, P1, K2 ... 77 (83-93) sts.

Work 1 row rib.

Rep last 2 rows until 45 (47-49) sts rem.

Cont in rib without shaping until armholes measure 17 (18-19) cm, working last row on WS.

Shape Shoulders - Cast off 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows.

Cast off rem 35 (37-39) sts loosely.

 

FRONT

Work as for Back to .

Shape Armholes & Divide For V Neck - Next row (RS) - K2, P1, sl 1, K2tog, psso, rib 34 (37-42), turn.

Cont on these 38 (41-46) sts.

Work 1 row.

Next row - K2, P1, sl 1, K2tog, psso, rib to last 4 sts, rib 2tog, rib 2 ... 35 (38-43) sts.

Rep last 2 rows until 14 (14-13) sts rem, ending with a dec row.

Cont dec one st (as before) at neck edge only in every foll alt row until 5 sts rem.

Cont in rib on these 5 sts until armhole measures 17 (18-19) cm, working last row on WS. Cast off.

With RS facing, join yarn to rem sts, rib 2tog, rib to last 6 sts, K3tog, P1, K2.

Cont on these 38 (41-46) sts.

Work 1 row.

Next row - Rib 2, sl 1, K1, psso, rib to last 6 sts, K3tog, P1, K2 ... 35 (38-43) sts.

Rep last 2 rows until 14 (14-13) sts rem, ending with a dec row.

Cont dec one st (as before) at neck edge only in every foll alt row until 5 sts rem.

Cont in rib on these 5 sts until armhole measures 17 (18-19) cm, working last row on WS. Cast off.

 

Finishing

DO NOT PRESS. Using matching plain yarn and mattress st seam, join shoulder seams. Join side seams. Sew in all ends.
