Using 4.50mm circular needle and C1, cast on 304 sts.

Note - Work in rows, not rounds.

Using C1, knit in garter st (1st row is WS) for 3.5cm, working last row on WS.

Using C2, knit 2 rows garter st.

Using C1, knit 2 rows garter st.

Rep last 4 rows until stripes measure 3.5cm, ending with 2 rows of C1.

Using C2, knit in garter st for 3.5cm, working last row on WS.

Using C3, knit 2 rows garter st.

Using C2, knit 2 rows garter st.

Rep last 4 rows until stripes measure 3.5cm, ending with 2 rows of C2.

Using C3, knit in garter st for 3.5cm, working last row on WS.

Using C4, knit 2 rows garter st.

Using C3, knit 2 rows garter st.

Rep last 4 rows until stripes measure 3.5cm, ending with 2 rows of C3.

Using C4, knit in garter st for 3.5cm, working last row on WS.

Using C5, knit 2 rows garter st.

Using C4, knit 2 rows garter st.

Rep last 4 rows until stripes measure 3.5cm, ending with 2 rows of C4.

Using C5, knit in garter st for 3.5cm, working last row on WS.

Using C6, knit 2 rows garter st.

Using C5, knit 2 rows garter st.

Using C6, knit in garter st until stripes measure 3.5cm, working last row on WS.

Using C7, knit 2 rows garter st.

Cast off very loosely knitways.
