GLITTERED EGG CENTREPIECE
Level: Easy
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Polystyrene eggs
- Toothpicks
- Cardboard box or foam block
- PVA glue
- Paint brush
- Assorted Glitter
- Small bowls
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 - Place a toothpick into the bottom of each egg. This will help you hold onto the egg while working on it and help when drying.
Step 2 - Working on one egg at a time, use the paint brush to spread an even layer of PVA glue covering the entire egg. Leave the glue for 30 seconds to allow it to become tacky.
Step 3 - Hold your egg over one of the small bowls and shake glitter all over the glued egg until it is fully covered.
Step 4 - Shake off any excess glitter into the bowl. Use more glue to cover any patches that need more glitter and repeat shaking glitter onto the glued area over the bowl.
Step 5 - Push the other end of the tooth pick into a cardboard box or foam block so it can stand freely without touching any other surfaces while it dries.
Step 6 - Repeat steps 1 through 5 for the rest of the eggs. Once all the eggs are glittered and dry, spray a light coat of hairspray all over the eggs to create a top coat that will hold all the glitter on. Once the hairspray is dry your eggs are ready to handle.
