Geometric Summer Cushions Project

LEVEL: EASY

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 0.5 metres Plain Duck Coral, Pink and White
  • 0.75 metres of Plain Duck Pink for Backing
  • 1 x 48cm Invisible Zipper
  • Matching Thread
  • Tracing Paper for Drawing Out Pattern
  • Scissors

Square Cushion

Triangle Cushion

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1. Draw out "V&rsquo"pattern using tracing paper. A and C are 30x30cm on each adjoining side of the "V", B is 35x35cm on each adjoining side of the "V". Allow 2cm extra on each
edge for a hem allowance.

Step 2. Ensure these all join on the straight edge.

Step 3. Cut all three colour panels in "V" shape according to the size previously mentioned.

Step 4. Cut out backing 52cm wide, and 32cm high in crescent (half circle) shape.

Step 5. Sew panels A, B and C together and overlock edges.

Step 6. Turn inside out and sew invisible zipper to front and back panel lining up zipper centrally.

Step 7. Turn your cushion back, and your cushion is ready.

SQUARE CUSHION

Step 1. Cut 2 panels 57x57cm in size. (Extra 2cm was already added for hem allowance).

Step 2. Overlock all sides of these hems.

Step 3. Turn inside out and sew invisible zipper to front and back panel lining up zipper centrally.

Step 4. Turn your cushion back, and your cushion is ready.

TRIANGLE CUSHION

Step 1. Draw out "V" pattern using tracing paper. (A is 37cm x 47cm x 37cm. B is 12cm x 47cm x 47cm)

Step 2. Cut 2 panels out. The 2cm hem allowance is already added for you.

Step 3. Cut the backing 50cmx50cm in a V shape.

Step 4. Sew all 3 panels together.

Step 5. Turn inside out and sew invisible zipper to front and back panel lining up zipper centrally.

Step 6. Turn your cushion back, and your cushion is ready.
