CHUNKY PLUSH CUSHION

LEVEL: EASY

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 'Moda Vera' Chunky Plush 2 x 100g balls 1st Colour (C1) 2 x 100g balls 2nd Colour (C2).
• A pair 6.50mm knitting needles or size needed for correct tension.
• A 45 x 45 cm Cushion Insert
• 2 Buttons (if desired)
• Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure

MEASUREMENT

Size (approx) cm 45 x 45

TENSION

8 sts to 10 cm in width over garter st, using 6.50mm needles.

INSTRUCTIONS

CUSHION COVER

Square

Using 6.50mm needles and C1, cast on 26 sts.

Knit in garter st (1st row is RS) until work measures 32cm from beg, working last row on WS. Cast off loosely.

Using C1, work another square in same manner.

Using C2, make 2 squares.

FINISHING

DO NOT PRESS. Fold each square in half to form a triangle (this forms back and front of cushion cover). Using half mattress st seam, join each triangle section as shown along dotted line of diagram, noting to leave an opening for insert. Place insert inside and close opening. If desired, sew a button to centre of front and back of cushion.
