POM POM HEADBAND
LEVEL: EASY
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 8ply yarn in red, yellow, black, green, and blue (or in the colours of your country's flag)
- Pompom making tool
- Sheet of felt in matching colours
- Scissors
- Plain headband
- Glue gun
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1 - Use your pompom making tool to create five large pompoms. Tip - making your pompoms bigger than you need them to be, then using scissors to 'shear' them down will give you thick, dense pompoms instead of shaggier, loose ones.
Step 2 - Cut a circle of felt for each pompom. The circle should be around 3cm in diameter and match the colour of the pompom.
Step 3 - Take one pompom, and part the threads of yarn with your fingers until you find the densest spot you can reach. Adhere the piece of felt to this spot with hot glue.
Step 4 - Apply hot glue to the other side of the felt circle and adhere it to the headband.
Step 5 - Repeat steps 3 - 4 with the remaining 4 pompoms, adhering them side by side across the top of the headband.
