INSTRUCTIONS

SPEEDBALL BLOCK PRINT

Step 1 - Start with drawing your design onto tracing paper, once you are happy with it, flip it onto the carve block. Retrace your
lines to transfer the drawing.

Step 2 - Carve out the negative space with the lino cutter. Remember to cut away from your fingers and to go slowly, as not to cut yourself.

Step 3 - Once you are happy with your work, you're ready to ink your lino cut. Place a spoonful of ink onto a flat tray, take your
brayer and continue to roll the paint back and forth quickly to smooth it out. You may notice the rolling start to get noisy, keep going until the texture becomes velvety.

Step 4 - Once you have your desired texture, roll your brayer onto the carve block. You may have to do this multiple times to cover the block completely. Remember to work quickly so the ink doesn't dry. For the project above, we inked the flowers first in black and then the rest in a maroon shade. Remember to wash the
block when you are changing ink colours.

Step 5 - Grab your piece of paper carefully and place it over the block, press down so the paper sticks to the block. Now grab a
rolling pin and evenly roll the block a few times to distribute the ink.

Step 6 - Slowly peel the paper from one end and leave to dry.

Step 7 - You can also reuse your carve block if you want to add more designs and patterns, your imagination is boundless!

Tips - The letters on metal stamps are forged backwards as a mirror image of the impression. This can make it easy to
mistakenly stamp a letter backwards. To assist in orienting the stamps properly, most ImpressArt letter stamps have the ImpressArt logo etched on the front of the shaft. Simply hold the letter stamp with the logo facing you and you will never stamp
another letter backwards. Alternatively, if the stamps don't have the orientation logo on the shaft you can mark the front of the stamps yourself with paint.

Step 1 - Place your blank metal disc or charm on a steel bench block. Apply a strip of Stamp Straight Tape across your blank.
The top ridge of the tape is going to serve as a guide to help you stamp evenly and in a straight line. Mark with a pen on Stamp Straight Tape where each letter will be stamped. This will make sure your stamped impressions are evenly spaced.

Step 2 - Place your stamp on the disc and lightly drag the stamp towards the tape until you feel the bottom of the stamp catch the top edge of the bottom of the Stamp Straight Tape. Note: Be careful not to scratch the stamping blank while dragging
the stamp.

Step 3 - Hold your metal stamp so that the head of the stamp is flush with the metal disc. Now, with medium pressure strike the
top of the stamp. If you've hit the stamp too lightly you can strike it again as long as the stamp has not been moved. Note: Larger and more detailed metal stamps require a harder strike than smaller and less detailed stamps.

Step 4 - Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until all of your stamped impressions are made. Remove Stamp Straight Tape guide you have finished stamping.

Step 5 - Assemble your necklace using pliers to attach chain, beads and closures to your liking.

SCRAPBOOKING ALBUM

Step 1 - Decide on a theme. Whether it's page by page or the whole album this will help you choose colours and embellishments and help you plan what your pages will look like. You can theme by colour, season or event depending what you are scrapbooking but by having a plan before you start it will make the process easier and more fun.

Step 2 - When you are choosing your papers and embellishments at Spotlight take the photos you want to showcase in your scrapbook with you. This will help you match the colours to your photos and choose the best embellishments to really make the picture pop.

Step 3 - Always keep your scraps. You never know when you will use it, even just as little embellishments it's always good to have a stash of extra papers to riffle through when you need some inspiration. You can even file them away in colour themes if you want to be super organised.

Step 4 - Plan your layout before sticking anything down. It's best to play with all the different pieces of paper and embellishments first to find the perfect layout for your page. Once you're happy with the layout you can even take a quick photo of it to refer to when you are sticking everything in place.

Step 5 - Use different widths of tape to stick your paper/pictures down. Also play with foam tape to create depth and layers throughout your pages.

DIY CANVAS BAGS

Easy Press Bag

Step 1 - Cut out the easy press transfers and arrange on the bag.

Step 2 - Use the easy press machine following the instructions to attach the transfer to the bag.

Step 3 - Decorate the rest of the bag using the tulip fabric paints and let dry.

Pom Pom & Chenille Bag

Step 1 - Arrange the pom pom and chenille sticks creating different shapes and designs.

Step 2 - Use the hot glue gun to glue the different pieces in place, put a piece of cardboard inside the bag so glue does not stick to the back.

Step 3 - Let dry before use.

TULIP LEOPARD PRINT SHOES

Step 1 - Start by painting spots randomly over the canvas shoes in the yellow colour. Allow paint to dry before step 2.

Step 2 - Then using the dark brown colour, paint irregular spot shapes again in random spots over the entire shoe. If they overlap some of the yellow spots this is fine as it will add depth to the pattern. Allow paint to dry before step 3.

Step 3 - Lastly use the black paint to paint on the leopard spot outlines. You can outline the spots fully or partially to create
different outline patterns. Use these outlines in different variations over the yellow and brown spots to finish your leopard print.

Step 4 - Allow all the paint to dry before wearing your new canvas shoes!
