WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • '4 Seasons' Marvel 8ply 100g ball each of Red (C1) and White (C2) x 1
  • A pair of 3.75mm knitting needles
  • A pair of 4mm knitting needles
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Tape measure

MEASURMENTS

To fit head 56cm circumference

TENSION

22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4mm needles

INSTRUCTIONS

Beanie

Using 3.75mm needles and using C2, cast on 110 sts.

Ribbed Brim -

1st row - K2, P2, K2, rep from to end.

2nd row - P2, K2, P2, rep from to end.

Last 2 rows form rib.

Work a further 16 rows rib.

Change to 4.00mm needles.

Work in stocking st in C1 until Beanie measures 11cm from end of rib.

Crown, cont in stocking st -

1st row - K12, sl 1, K1, psso, (K1, K2tog, K22, sl 1, K1,

psso) 3 times, K1, K2tog, K12 ... 102 sts.

Work 6 rows ... 102 sts.

Next row - K11, sl 1, K1, psso, (K1, K2tog, K20, sl 1, K1,

psso) 3 times, K1, K2tog, K11 ... 94 sts.

Work 6 rows.

Next row - K10, sl 1, K1, psso, (K1, K2tog, K18, sl 1, K1,

psso) 3 times, K1, K2tog, K10 ... 86 sts.

Work 6 rows.

Next row - K9, sl 1, K1, psso, (K1, K2tog, K16, sl 1, K1,

psso) 3 times, K1, K2tog, K9 ... 78 sts.

Work 3 rows.

Break off yarn, thread end through rem sts, draw up tightly

and fasten off securely.

Finishing

Sew the back seam of the Beanie using mattress sitich. Make a pompom from C2 and attach to the top of the Beanie.
