NATIVE HANGING WREATH

Native Hanging Wreath Project

LEVEL: EASY

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Wire floristry wreath
  • Faux eucalyptus and spray
  • Scissors
  • 6cm Assorted Baubles
  • Christmas ribbon
  • Jute rope for hanging

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 - Start by weaving the branches of the eucalyptus through the wire wreath. Continue weaving and overlapping the branches through the wire wreath and the other branches until the wreath is fully covered. Use small twigs to fill in any gaps.

Step 2 - Turn the wreath over and fill any gaps with more branches and leaves so your wreath is neat and tidy from both sides.

Step 3 - Cut 2 lengths of the jute rope and tie each end on opposite sides of the wreath. The length of the rope will depend on where you're hanging your wreath so cut yourself enough that you can play with the height once you've hung it.

Step 4 - Cut varying lengths of Christmas ribbon and tie to the baubles. We cut off the existing bauble loop/string and used the Christmas ribbon instead so the baubles can all have a consistent look and hang at different heights.

Step 5 - Once all your baubles are strung they are ready to hang. Tie the ribbon from each bauble onto the wreath ensuring the heights vary the whole way round.

Step 6 - To finish add some more baubles to the wreath base by looping through the greenery.
