FLINDERS COTTON CROCHET CHRISTMAS LIGHT GARLAND

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 4 Seasons Flinders Cotton 8 ply 50g balls
- Colour 1 - Main Colour (M) Dove Grey: 1 ball
- Colour 2 - Canary: 1 ball
- Colour 3 - Chili: 1 ball
- Colour 4 - Lime:1 ball
- Colour 5 - Violet: 1 ball
- Colour 6 - Tangerine: 1 ball
- Colour 7 - Blush: 1 ball
- Colour 8 - Orchid: 1 ball
- Colour 9 - Aqua: 1 ball
- 3.00 mm crochet hook, hobby fill for stuffing
- Light measures approx 9cm tall using 3.00mm hook.
INSTRUCTIONS
LIGHT (make 2 for each CC)
Lights are worked in a spiral, do not join at the end of each round. Use removable marker to mark end of round.
Using 3.00mm hook and a CC, make 2ch.
Round 1 - Working into the 2nd ch from hook, make 4dc ... 4 sts
Round 2 - 2dc in each st to end ... 8 sts
Round 3 - 1dc in each st ... 8 sts
Round 4 - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in next st, rep from * to end ... 12 sts
Round 5 - 1dc in each st to end ... 12 sts
Round 6 - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * to end ... 15 sts
Round 7 - 1dc in each st to end ... 15 sts
Rep last round once.
Round 9 - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * to end ... 18 sts
Round 10 - 1dc in each st to end ... 18 sts
Rep last round once.
Stuff the light with hobby fill and cont to add more stuffing as you progress.
Round 12 - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * to end ... 21 sts
Round 13 - 1dc in each st to end ... 21 sts
Rep last round once.
Round 15 - * 2dc in next st, 1dc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * to end ... 24 sts
Round 16 - 1dc in each st to end ... 24 sts
Rep last round twice.
Round 19 - * Dc2tog over next 2 sts, 1dc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * to end ... 18 sts
Round 20 - 1dc in each st to end ... 18 sts
Round 21 - * Dc2tog over next 2 sts, 1dc in next st, rep from * to end, completing the final yarn over hook with M ... 12 sts
Break off CC and cont with M for rem.
Round 22 - Sl st in next st, 1dc in same st as sl st, dc in each st to end ... 12 sts
Round 23 - 1dc in each st to end ... 12 sts
Rep last round once.
Round 25 - Working in the back loops only, * dc2tog over next 2 sts, sk next st, rep from * to end, sl st in next st ...4 sts
Fasten off leaving a 20cm end.
Slip hook into one side of the top of the light and make 4 ch, ss into opposite side of top to create loop for attaching to string later.
STRING
Using 3.00mm hook and M, * make 20 ch, attach a light by inserting hook into loop on top of light with a sl st, rep from * until the last light has been attached, make 20 ch, turn, sl st along each ch to end.
Fasten off and sew in ends.
