BEACH HOUSE GIANT RAFFIA BAUBLES

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 'Moda Vera' Beach House Raffia, 35g
• 4 balls x Red balls
• 2 x Large 90cm Circular Balloons (to create the circle shape)
• Modge Podge Craft Glue
• Scissors
• Fairy lights

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1. Blow balloons up to desired size. We decided on 70cm and 40cm.

Step 2. Using craft glue paint a strip of glue around the centre of the balloon so that while you're wrapping the raffia it has somewhere to stick too.

Step 3. Continue wrapping the raffia around the balloon crossing over the strands of raffia to create a woven and covered web.

Step 4. Once you are happy with how covered your balloon is, paint over entire balloon with glue. Ensuring you have covered every cross section of raffia.

Step 5. Leave to dry.

Step 6. Once dry, carefully untie the balloon and let out a small amount of air.

Step 7. Carefully help to pull away the raffia from the balloon, keeping it in tact.

Step 8. Repeat this until the entire raffia web is detached from the balloon and completely deflate the balloon to remove it.

Step 9. Once you are left with the raffia ball shell, carefully thread fairy lights around the entire ball and place the battery pack inside at the base.

Step 10. Repeat process for the 2nd size balloon and place together to create large Christmas decorations for your home.
